“I initially found ‘Il Faro’ through googling ‘Italian clifftop wedding’ and looking at the photos that came up. As soon as I saw the iconic shot of the belvedere, I immediately got in touch with Emma to book in a viewing. After visiting Il Faro, there was no question that this was the venue for us; the olive tree overhanging the aisle; cacti on the cliff edge; blue seas and Stromboli in the backdrop made this venue a step above any others that we had seen.

I was initially concerned about having a wedding abroad because of the communication barrier and the potential struggle to find vendors but Emma and Ally were amazing! I still cannot believe our luck that we managed to find this perfect venue and everything that went along with it. Emma listened to exactly what we wanted and was able to offer us so many options for a photographer, florist, hairdresser and décor options with different prices.

Planning a wedding with Emma was so much fun! She had access to my Pinterest board and sent me some great ideas in line with the rustic, olive grove vibe we were going for. When it came to our tasting, my husband and I had a great time with Ally and it could not have been easier. Everything for the big day had been planned well in advance and so when we got out there a few days before the wedding there was no added stress.

Right up until the wedding, Emma, Ally and the team were so flexible with the décor and any requests we had. I saw some pictures on a Pinterest board of wooden swings and a cake swing with foliage wound around quite late in the process but there was no problem and they were in place overlooking the ocean which was a very instagrammable shot!

Ally was our officiant on the day and she was fabulous; we had gotten to know her on our previous visits which made it personal and she is so eloquent it could not have gone better.

One last thing that has to be mentioned is the food. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the food available and we are all still dreaming about it now. The photographer, florist and hairdresser were all absolutely perfect and all organised by the Il Faro team.

Our day could not have been more perfect and we will be forever grateful to Il Faro for making it as dreamy as can be- the pictures speak for themselves.
